There is hope, great hope, that principles and common sense will prevail in the elections this November. More and more indications are that the American people overwhelmingly reject the neo-socialist agenda of the present administration and their running dogs in Big Media.
But after that what awaits us? Is our future really any different with Mit Romney in office versus Barack Obama?
I’m not so sure.
Don’t misunderstand. I do not in any way, shape or form want Barack Obama as President of the local PTA much less of this country! Nevertheless, I can’t help but wonder if the die has not already been cast. Can anyone save us from the landslide that President Obama has brought down upon our heads. Say what you will about George W. Bush, but Mr. Obama took us to depths of economic debauchery beyond anything any previous administration ever dreamed of.
I suppose we should thank Mr. Obama for one thing. That is proving the fallacy of the neo-socialist idea that you can spend your way to prosperity. Printing worthless dollars and throwing them indiscreetly about is now thoroughly debunked as a way to survive a recession and years of economic malfeasance. But as I said, what awaits us?
The bible describes the end times thusly:
Mat 24:6-8 And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled, for all these things must occur; but the end is not yet.
For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines and pestilences and earthquakes in different places.
All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Such things have certainly occurred throughout history. In fact, this is a common argument for those convinced, or perhaps seeking TO convince themselves, that we are not at the end of the road for the world as we know it. The bible even addresses this very issue (2 Peter 3:4). One thing experts do agree on is that the frequency and severity of the disasters which have occurred recently are more than at any time in recorded history.
A gloomy outlook certainly. But, there is hope. Even better, there is victory, joy and eternal fellowship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. For we are not appointed to wrath.
1Th_5:9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
Rather, with a shout of ‘Come up here!’ we will be snatched up into Heaven to be with our beloved savior, Jesus Christ!
Luk 17:34 I tell you, in that night there shall be two in one bed, the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.
Luk 17:35 Two shall be grinding together, one will be taken, and the other left.
Luk 17:36 Two shall be in the field, one will be taken, and the other left.
Luk 17:37 And they answered and said to Him, Where, Lord? And He said to them, Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.
1Co 15:51 Behold, I speak a mystery to you; we shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed;
1Co 15:52 in a moment, in a glance of an eye, at the last trumpet. For a trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed.
1Co 15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54 But when this corruptible shall put on incorruption, and when this mortal shall put on immortality, then will take place the word that is written, "Death is swallowed up in victory.
1Th 4:13 But I would not have you ignorant, brothers, concerning those who are asleep, that you be not grieved, even as others who have no hope.
1Th 4:14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will also bring with Him all those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.
1Th 4:15 For we say this to you by the Word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord shall not go before those who are asleep.
1Th 4:16 For the Lord Himself shall descend from Heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ shall rise first.
1Th 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And so we shall ever be with the Lord.
1Th 4:18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
I believe that we are in the very last days of the last days of God’s church on this Earth. If you have not received Jesus Christ as your savior there is still time. If you believe this:
1 Cor 15:3-4, "… that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures."
John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me.'
Acts 4:12, "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men, by which we must be saved."
And you do this:
Rom 10:9 If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Then you will be saved from this:
- Hebrews 2:14, "Since then the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil."
- Luke 1:70-71, "As He spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from of old— 71 Salvation from our enemies, And from the hand of all who hate us."
- John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life."
Present Evil Age
- Galatians 1:4, "who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father."
- Matthew 1:21, "And she will bear a Son; and you shall call His name Jesus, for it is He who will save His people from their sins."
- Romans 5:9, "Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him."
- 1 Thessalonians 1:10, "and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, that is Jesus, who delivers us from the wrath to come."*
If you have read this far then it is apparent that God’s Spirit is speaking to you. If you are not sure yet what you believe then please message me and I will be happy to answer any questions you have. The time is short and what lies ahead is fearful indeed as is the idea of eternal separation from our Creator and eternal punishment in the most horrifying of places! Don’t let another moment slip by without giving your life to Jesus Christ.
God Bless You All.
